XXX: External Turbos ?????

I got these from blackdragon, I know they are external turbos, but is anyone familiar with who made these particular ones. One has a sticker that says "twin turbo" the other looks cheap but has nothing on it not even heat shrink.

TripleXmodder(akaXXX) 02-09-2009 11:40 PM

I know generally, but depending on who made it will determine wire color, because I don't wanna take the shrink wrap off to check everything. Figured Id see if anyone on here knew. If I can find out which ones they are I can get the connection directions from there website, most have them, but I didn't notice that these looked like the ones I have seen unless they are older versions.

FRONT and BACK of each

That's what I was thinking, It's not like the Nelly I had, and I couldn't find anything googling Nelly that looked like it. How sure are you on that thought.

theoriganalRiD3R1967 02-10-2009 12:08 AM

i can't coment on the twin turbo but...

well i don't know where those are from, but provided those, on the first two pics (close ups) are all transistors coded BEC, i would think that

the red wire attached to the cap is input same with the black attached to the cap, and the other two are your output (to the motor), pretty sure, but not 100% maybe 75%

as for the second one with the rainbow colors, i couldn't tell you i doj't know too much about FETs, besides the fact that they are called feild affect transistors,so...yup, thats all! sorry i couldn't be of any more help

I'm pretty sure I saw that twin turbo on XMW, you might be able to find it if you go snoop around over there.

He as the first to really start using the rainbow colored wires and call it a turbo, if I remember right... If you really want to see the start of the Nelly read this thread: http://www.ausmicro.com/forum/showth...ewpost&t=12587

It documents the beginnings and developments.

TripleXmodder(akaXXX) 02-10-2009 12:46 AM

Thanks guys. I think I read that ausimicro thread before, but Im gonna run through it again.

Bringing back a SUPER old thread.... Just becasue I want you guys to see how long it took for me to find the answer... I did today finally.. So only took me 1 year..LOL

The one that say twin turbo is a GPM Twin Turbo

The other is a TLP external turbo

HAhahaha, took long enough.. I cleaned them up and put new wire on them, re-did the clear heat shrink.. printed the install directions out.. put each in a small ziplock w/ instructions.... and.......... Threw them in a box.. LOL.
