Wow! Great man! Possibly the most challenging build so far and what a great car!

Keep us posted!

BulletsRain 09-27-2008 07:15 PM

Thats a great car man. It gonna look good when its all down, I can just imagine it! :D

suicide_star 09-27-2008 07:45 PM

wow, you never cease to amaze me, awesome project man. i'd imagine getting a hold of reproduction body parts for this thing is expensive as hell :(

kendallcschm 09-27-2008 09:20 PM

the front reminds me of a fire bird and the rear reminds me of a '65 mustang

BulletsRain 09-27-2008 09:31 PM

Camaros and Firebirds have always somewhat looked alike.

kendallcschm 09-27-2008 09:36 PM

ture... very true.... but the firebird is way cooler. lol but the rear end still looks like a stang... how do you explain that?

mm9295 09-28-2008 09:50 AM

kendallcschm 09-28-2008 10:15 AM

Only older then mine by 2 years, but not as old as jabari's Ford F1. Can't speak about rust unless I saw all our cars in person.. CST10 has all sorts of hidden (rust) goodies

Good to see the Camaro getting attention.

kendallcschm 09-30-2008 09:51 AM

By sandblasting them...

kendallcschm 10-08-2008 09:30 PM

buy new engine parts that aren't rusted lol but you should sand blast the ones that aren't that bad :-P you gunna get any performance upgrades?

texan_idiot25 10-10-2008 10:36 PM

Q-Jet carb?

kendallcschm 10-11-2008 09:44 AM

When the world falls out and the only thing left are non electronic machines, give me a call, I'll still be driving my CST10.

If it looks like mine, it's the Rochester 4BBL Quadrajet, one of the best stock carbs to use. Even good fuel economy if you set it up right. Run around on the tiny primaries, and then set the linkage to open the massive 2ndaries at 1/2-3/4 throttle.

No reason to hate carbs, when properly tuned they can be just as efficient as EFI.

Oh no, he secretly loves them.

kendallcschm 10-11-2008 03:27 PM

lol i like carbs in old cars and i hate EFI in old cars because it ruins the old coolness lol

texan_idiot25 10-12-2008 02:01 PM

30 mpg on ethenol, is that /gallon of gas in the ethanol mix, or /gallon of fuel. Because with ethanol, MPG goes down. If you did a three-deuce setup you could have MPG and when the foot gets happy, full thottle powah!

I like both, but for very different reasons. I just like the god-awful simplicity of a Carburetted system, the fact that when something goes wrong I don't have to go through a technological maze (Like I have had with the Firebird) to find the problem, and it's fixable with some hand tools. And when properly tuned a good carb will perform as well as EFI, just that it isn't self learning and adjusting as EFI is. That, and on older cars it most often times leaves a cleaner look under the hood.

On a more day-to-day performance stand point, EFI all the way, no arguments about it. It does start on the 1st try  And of course the tuning aspect is crazy...

I'd happily take your carb and hi-rise intake if I were closer :p

Different strokes for different folks, it's all good.

But 30 mpg with an old school chevy small block? That I want to see. Then I can have hopes for the CST10

Wouldn't argue that with an LS motor though, and a nice 6 speed. :p
