this one was actually a lot of work to lower. for the front i just flipped the front clip and in the rear i cut out the rear window and made a lil spacer under the trunk to the rear clip and super glued it together. the hard part was that when i mounted it i noticed that the body sat a lil forward on the chassis making the wheels off-centered in the wheel wells, so i had to trim the bottom of the front clip completely flat and trim about 3-4mm from the front of the clip. then i cut out the top of the slot the clip slides into on the inside of the body. after that i used some plastic medal to extend the trunk area into the inside of the body to give me extra area for the rear clip to mount to. i will post the pics of all this when i get home tonight after work so this will all make a lil more sense.

i lowered mine and the wheels arnt siting center in the wheel wells ill post a pic in my project thread

kookieboi 04-14-2010 03:24 PM

yeah im not sure why it did that when i lowered mine but it was kinda pain in the neck to fix

Liking the Paint on that GTR, goes well being really smooth too.

XMDrifter 04-14-2010 11:42 PM

actually, what you should do is sand the place where the rear clip screws onto. that way you can keep the windows and still lower the rear to match the front.

kookieboi 04-15-2010 02:34 AM

the motor got in the way with the window in so i took it out

fast tim 04-15-2010 11:39 AM

it also helps keep the motor cool

XMDrifter 04-15-2010 08:31 PM

you know, you can grind stuff down...

Stuff likes this makes me wish I could afford a real car lol...kinda why I got into the hobby, until I can get the Subaru Legacy around the corner from my house...I have to settle with RCs. Looks good though man...I have a GTR that I wanna do up like yours there.
