Project Sandblaster
Well, I've accumulated enough spare parts to build another Mini-T. I ordered a new screw kit from Losi in case i was missing anything, got some GPM titanium hinge pins for the arms, sand paddle tires, an extra body that i got for free with my latest custom body purchase, and here's a picture.
http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...troyer/027.jpg There's a few sand bars and beaches around here that would be terribly fun to play on, so i decided to rig this one up for just that. Plans for it include an integy plastic spur/pinion kit, 9000kv brushless setup, 11v lipo, custom heat sinks, cooling fan, and lots of sand being thrown around. |
err better gear quite low, i run extremely hot on my rc18
8000kv, 11.1v 20c lipo, 12/60.. the safe range for me for is around 9/60, 11 being the highest, im glad i went down, before i was running 23/60.. and jeez am i happy i geared down |
I was going to gear it 14/59 to try and lose some acceleration and make it more controllable. If i could find some 1:10 sand paddles, i'll throw those on it, too.

They have the sand paddles on tower. Look under the category of Tamiya Hornet/Grasshopper Tires.

Just an update bump...I ordered a "big block" motor plate just now! Know why? Because I also ordered an 8900KV brushless 370 motor! How's that for a start? I'm going to start modifying the body to get some ventilation going on and I need to start shopping around for an RX/TX and a decent 11.1 battery pack.

hmm...you have inspired me to finaly get a mini or micro t.
After these xmods projects are done a mini or micro is off on the top of the list. PS you have 2 unread messages lol |
