Burnt resistor question

I was installing some bearings into my gen1 xmod, when I let the antena wire touch the battery termenal.......and then u can guess what happend......yep! Alot of smoke,so I took it apart and all thatwas left is this.......

Now I was wondering if it would hurt any thing to just solder the two little connecter things straight to each other, or if there is any other alternatives
Thanks in advance:-):-)

You must replace the resistor. AtomicMods may still sell them, but you can just look up the resistor's specs by its color bands, and find replacements at a local electronics store.

Well I already fixed it, I took an old xmods that got eat a while back,so I took one of the resistors of of it and it worked,i didnt tgink it would cause it got wet,but I dont think it hurt the resistors any,my xmod still has this awful smell comin out of it,i cant figure it out,but hay! It still works like new so..........

Run it for a short time, cut power, and touch the different components and see what's hot enough to cause alarm. Something is slowly burning.
