my boat no more
well i was upstate over the weekend and my boat unfortunatly had water inside of it for a whole month so the motors rusted. i thought it would still work because it happened to one of my older boats. then we couldnt get it so we threw rocks at it to create a current. my brother hit it by accident with a 3-4 lb rock and my mom accidntally hit it with a 2-3 lb rock. it smashed the top part of the boat.

Its just surface rust on the motors. No worries there.

|
cant u just put different motors in there ??sry bout the boat and that charger looks nice..
|
no, the motors are attached to the copper tubing to the props outdrive. anyway, i cant find 380 size motors anywhere
|
Try mubachi, or just go balls out and make it brushless.

You're insane, with that hull design? You'll have a bullet, not a boat. That thing won't even touch the water.. :eyecraz: That would be purty friggen cool looking, though. |
:roll_eye: Wait, why the hell did you throw rocks at it? :eyecraz:
I need to get my Villain ripping again, I took it apart to paint it black and silver, turned out very nice but I left out two grommets that go on the elec. box that seal up the steering shafts and it capsized....Didn't get to it fast enough, sucker filled up with water and fried the piece of crap Novak EVX... |

I used to own a Nitro Vee. Was a fast little thing, I just hated dealing with Nitro-fuel. So, I sold it and haven't gotten a boat since. :o |

Read, learn, and share! You'll find a lot of great info on that site. It's a site I used to use for my Nitro Vee. There are a lot of great people there who are more than willing to help you with any questions you may ask. ;) Monster.Traxxas.com is the only forum I have found that is dedicated to one certain hobby grade brand that's actually run well, and has a lot of great information. So go Traxxas! |

Any resistance in the drive train and that gear is gone...Which also means the stock motors have good torque! Those are the two things I don't like about it, it's unstabble in chop/waves and at high speeds and the drivetrain isn't the toughest I've seen. But I threw in two 7 cell packs and a motor cooling kit and it was a nasty lil cruiser til it sunk! Ya, I'm def gonna fix it, I also have a Blast just sitting here not doing anything. I'm going to waterproof the lil sucker so I can't ever sink it and go brushless...My next projects! |
If I'm not mistaken the hull design is the same (or darn near the same) on the Nitro Vee and the Villian(s). My Nitro Vee held it's ground like you wouldn't believe on my river, and there are boats going every which direction at all times of the day. The waters never at a glass sit; which isn't that fun to run it anyway.
If it was such a problem for you, I'm sorry. But, I've never had problems with running my hull (which I believe is the same..) in my waters. And wouldn't a blast be even worse at high speeds? Now that hull is deffinetly not made for high speeds! Way too narrow, and there's literally no draft to get you going. :roll_eye: |
