F-150 Baja
1 Attachment(s)
Well I successfully turned my blue F-150 into a trail rig, now I'm taking on the yellow with a baja transformation. I already mocked up the front bumper, which will be painted, and I will cut and shave the rear end to look more like a trophy truck, plus do a whole rear-end cage and tire holder and roof lights.
Here's a pic of what I got done in about an hour last night, let me know what you think! I will also be doing a full set of under-skids and finish up the front guard with a skid. Pics are fuzzy, came off my phone. :roll_eye: |
i love that front bumper! where did you find a thing like that!? anyways, looks great so far. cant wait to see the finished product.
later, fordman |
I made it last night. I also made eveything you see on the blue F-150 behind it. I'm getting rather good at it and tried to sell some to people but didn't get enough interest.

if you put one up for sale when ur done i might consider it. they look good.
|
i agree they are definately custom. What materials do you use when you make em because i could use one on my scout.

I construct them out of 1/16" brass stock, closest to scale I could find for the guards. Takes awhile to bend, cut and shape them, but the work really pays off. I could make them for anyone who would want them, but I would need bodies if you wanted anything other than F150 and Titan accessories.
I also paint them when finished so they have a powder coated look, my blue F150 turned out very nice! |
Nice work on the guards they look even better painted:nod:

how did you get the antenna to come out like that, and are you willing to sell the racks? |
Cant wait to see this done, I'm sure it'll look great like your other F150, but 1 question, where'd you get that brass tubing??

I got the brass stock from the local hardware store, I bet you could find it at your LHS, comes in 3' lengths I think, it's like $3.29 for 6' altogether.
I would be happy to make them for people, let me know what kind of style you like. I'll build one more front guard and take pics of all three when I paint them, mock up some side guards and another roof rack. I'm pretty sure the roof racks will be almost identical for the F150 and the Titan. I'll do custom ones too, find a pic of one you like and send it to me. I'll build as many as I can on Sunday and try to finish up this one so you can see the different styles. I never got ahold of blackstallion, I know he wanted me to make this one. |
ill take a ladder rack and the bumper off that yellow truck.....give me a price

Nice trucks, both of you. Long time no see Sky! Don't worry about the Micro T thing anymore, I got one of my own. I like the idea and where this is going..
|
no offence xmodificationer but that kinda looks like a throw together... like you spent half an hour on it... i know that i dont have room to talk seen as how i dont have a ton of customs but i think you could do a way better job if you just spent more time and patience on your projects
