sweet! i like it man! i want more updates!!! lol ;P

Stampedekid 03-06-2010 09:31 AM

Looks great but you may want to make a tool box or something scale to hide that RX.

mycrors4 03-06-2010 11:45 AM

yea, been think bout it, maybr just a small lexan on, but see im not gonma use that tx/rx anymore(switching it with my rustler)
so it might be a bit harder, cause its a bit bigger

If you want, I could make one out of styrene and only charge you shipping. Back to topic, what TX/RX do you plan on running?

mycrors4 03-06-2010 01:16 PM

for now... its gonna be a traxxas tq from like a decade ago.. lol

i hope on running a MX3FG in the future

mycrors4 03-06-2010 05:24 PM

update:
I finished the original battery plate, but then thought of a better way to mount it, cause the original way, all the weight would be in the back(which i dont want), i started on a new design
pix:

http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k.../scaler022.jpg
this is the new way it will be mounted, just a new style plate

lol 03-07-2010 10:56 PM

I suggest velcro instead of tie wraps. :)

Stampedekid 03-07-2010 10:58 PM

Just a quick tip. You may want to switch to velcro straps or cut slots in the tray to mount the zip ties/velcro straps so the battery or zip ties won't move at all. ;)

mycrors4 03-07-2010 10:58 PM

i know, i have one coming in :D :-p, but i do need 1 more strap.. any free ones from any of u guys are appreciated :D
i used zip ties as a small test

mycrors4 03-12-2010 06:00 PM

i still need 1 more battery strap, i have 1, here are a couple pix of the antenna mounting(yes the rx is gonna stay there[there wont be a zip tie.. lol im using zipe tires for now, in-case i improve on it later], i found a diff way to mount the battery)

its not the trail ready honcho its the honcho kit(with the alloy links)
i got it used, which is the read reason the front bumper is missing a skid pl8
also the tires are prolinr hammers, they provide awesome grip :D

mycrors4 06-12-2010 12:41 PM
