If its going to be an off road tuck i would definately go with some aoshima swampers and a high torque motor for crawling.

BulletsRain 01-26-2009 06:59 PM

So its going to be an offroader right, or drifter? Because those are two different things....so... either way it will be a nice project.

nw~hummer 01-26-2009 08:36 PM

im gunna do baja style.. and i got something special planned, i might get another titan in the next couple days so its gunna get a make over lol

nw~hummer 01-27-2009 09:15 PM

http://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l1...100_0585-1.jpg

BulletsRain 01-27-2009 10:24 PM

Hmm.....does the titan normally tilt back like that? Or is it because of the battery tray in the back?
You might better off with just leaving the battery tray in the stock position.

XMDrifter 01-27-2009 11:04 PM

i think you should go with a complete lift.
or use lowering top arms with off road a-arms and really long top suspension screws for lots of travel. and make sure to sleeve the screw in something like slippery scotch tape so the suspension doesn't lock up.

think you can probably go back to using stock skirts or no skirts at all

stock hood probably would look more like the bullydog baja truck

black wheels
thick tire mod (c1v1c did a write up)

you can probably use paperclips and solder to make the bars and stuff

you can use bodykit packaging plastic to make the front and rear skid plates
and you can drill out the KC light bar and install CL led's in them (and splice them into the same power source as the regular lights. the foglights can probably be like a cut up KC light bar

the roof rack you can make from paperclips and solder

black out the grille and run 2 batt packs (same battery brand and type please) so that it has the same voltage but much higher mAh (Example: energizers:850 mAh packs x 2 = 1700mAh pack)
connect it black wire to black wire and red to red.

bajas have like, 1-2 feet of suspension travel after the subtraction of travel used to hold the truck up (droop) that means you have to have 1/2-1 inch of usable suspension travel, nw~.

texan_idiot25 01-27-2009 11:08 PM

Lookin good so far. Lift the rear a tad, black out the rims.

amorton94 01-27-2009 11:44 PM

does anyone read? everyone is saying use the stock body kit, even though he said he was looking to get the stock body kit. and he said he was going for a baja look, which explains the lifted front end. but it looks good so far. and do you still want me to send you pics of the way i mounted those tires on my truck?

nw~hummer 01-28-2009 12:45 AM

Thanks for the tips guys, ye i have another truck on the way im gunna use the body parts from.. and im gunna lift the rear a little with the off road a-arms, and no the batt tray doesnt make it tilt, its cuz its on stock suspension in the back with off road susp. in the front.. thats actually a second batt tray the stock one is still in its position...

XMDrifter 01-28-2009 03:23 PM

it might be that the only stock part you'd need would be the hood. you can go without skirts and bumpers adn it'll look right.
just cut off the extension

scoter 01-28-2009 03:29 PM

"desert style" is called "Cali Lean"

Nice truck!

nw~hummer 01-29-2009 06:07 AM

the fenders and side skirts are 1 piece, thats why there on there.. also i tried the 4x4 a arm thing and it was lower and wider with a camber issue. so im gunna use what i already had until i find another way.

also, i found out you cant do the articulation mod with a titan cuz the gear cover hit the bed, even when its stock, it really sucks lol

ye when i lived in vegas i noticed almost every truck is like that.. looks kinda weird but cool lol

~ changed my mind, im gunna lift the rear cuz when i do my special surprize it will look better

amorton94 01-29-2009 06:00 PM

if your special surprise is what i think it is, than it's not so special or a surprise  you still want pics of the way i mounted my tires??

FloydfanYodaman 01-29-2009 06:56 PM

for roll bars you could use modified model parts trees...i still have stock bk pieces if you want

nw~hummer 01-31-2009 06:43 PM

ye i wanna see the tires plz, and FloydfanYodaman ill pm you tomorrow if i still want the parts, im getting another titan, but i still may want extra stock parts cuz i just dont like the look of the body kit really
