gen 1 servo change

Can u hook up a better servo to the stock electronics.Or is there a way to take it apart and fix the slop in it.

Hooking up a V2.2 board cleans it up a lot.. You can do a servo swap in many different ways.

whats a v2.2 how would it take out the slop

A had a huge argument about this with someone a long time ago... you can call Atomicmods if you don't believe my side of the arguement to verify. As it works like a FET upgrade alowing you to run at higher voltages to the motor, it ALSO regulates and cleans the volts going to the servo.
Here is a Link, I don't know if they make them anymore but they are like $45.00 or somthing.

Thanks but it looks like it adds weight. If i did that ill put a mini z board in it.I just want to put tight turnz in and fix the slop in the servo so it looks stock.I have my evo all hooked up

I have a bunch of tight turn resistors.. the good ones. The teeny, tiny ones you actually replace on the board (not the capacitors you add to the line). (I do these alot...or i did, and still have a bunch)

What kind of slop do you mean.? The slop is usually slack in the rod to knuckles not the servo. Or do you have servo jitter or erratic behavior, grinding or humming.?

the horn wobbles bad all my gen1's did it's just a crapy servo alltogether.

You should be able to get a JR S185 Super Micro Servo. Gut the Gen1 Servo box and trim it to fit the JR inside, line it all up and have a better servo setup. You would have to also open the JR to redo the wiring. Im looking at it, and it seems very do able to get a stock look and get it to fit and line up.

What, for me to do it for you.... Well the Servo is $18.00, tight turns I usually do for $15.00 installed... I can do the Servo mod itself for free, and say $5.00 for return shipping.

$38.00 .. Discount it to $35.00
