Project: Oldshcool RC10T (with video)
I made a quick video of my 18 year old associated original RC10T.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GtAXgGB9OM The original RC10T was the RCCA magazine's 1992 "car of the year" and won it's fare share of races back in it's time. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...r/P1010547.jpghttp://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...10541-Copy.jpg The chassis and all other aluminum parts have been stripped of it's anodizing and has been hand polished. I also cut down the sides of the tub chassis like they used to do back in the day to "save weight". I don't really care about saving weight but I think it looks cool. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...r/P1010542.jpg Most of the plastic has been replaced with RPM and it also has an RPM conversion gearbox, all stock plastic was dyed black to match. The dogbones were replaced by MIP CVD's I also used some aluminum servo mounts that was for a TC3. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...r/P1010543.jpg I'm running a Mamba Max ESC , Tacon 4420kv motor and a 2S 5000mah lipo. I retro-fitted a newer T3 slipper clutch to the tranny's top shaft to better handle the modern brushless power. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...r/pict0134.jpg It's not the fastest RC truck but now it moves pretty good for an 18 year old RC. |
u are so lucky i miss mine.i had one and sold it when i was young. whish i still had it.Associated should come back out with it like tamiya does with there old cars.

That would be sweet if AE re-issued the classics.
I always wanted an original gold pan RC10 (stealth rather than the 6 gear tranny) |
maybe if alot of guys call them maybe they would
