Project: Yellow Hummer Evo Truck

Yes, i am from Portugal...in europe!

Well, i got this car NEW for about 8 months....and now decided to show it off on this forum :)

For what i can tell is that i started on RC on X-mods with this baby!!
I had learned so much, and turned this little toy in a true hobby grade RC car.

For who know my threads on other forum for x-mods knows what i can do!
To many people talk... but in concrete on doing the work done and ready to play... not so many...

So my project!

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...1052010226.jpg
-This is where all started....this project is a yellow car, and not that red on the box... that one is another story, that if you like this i will post to!

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...6052010214.jpg
-That ones was a gift, but they ****... they have the bigger mah, but lack punch and runtime... believe.. runtime is similar to the sonys/energizers....

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...6052010215.jpg
-Made in JAPAN. It can only be GOOD, and they are my actually daily driver...

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...1102010730.jpg

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...1062010311.jpg
-Well i got this a few days ago, and the only thing i can tell, is i have to charge them over night (8hours), because on the instructuions they say they dont like 15minutes chargers!
BUT, when "charged" they are a very SICK, sick and PUNCHY ones.
Very very EXTREMELY punchy. Someone says it's the best of the best in the world... i don't know... what i know is they are diferent from all of the others! Believe me!

hello!
don't i know you from somewhere else?

:D

Runing on a chili, if you got a 2x3 stacked fets its safe! At least for me.
Just ensure you got metal bearings.... the only piece a real RC sould have allways!!

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...5062010340.jpg
-Say bye, Atomic Stock!!

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...6072010370.jpg
-The real problem of a chili on 7.2v (60.000rpm's), is tires getting bold real fast (like each set of cells!!:):stupid:

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...1072010361.jpg
-A crash of something on 40kmh to a wall, resulted in this....

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...1072010362.jpg
-Working on the problem.... with GPM front house :)

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...1072010363.jpg
-Inside done!

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...1072010364.jpg
-Almost ready to run (scream)...

-YOu could put a knife in here that the knife bends, lol :)

http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/b...1072010366.jpg
-Let the walls and gates come.... amén :tough:

This litlle bastard screams....:armed:

That's a pretty nice truck you got there, very blingy with all those bolt ons. I must ask why are there TRD stickers on the hummer? imo this isnt a project, but I do give you props for all that GPM.

Exactly what I'm thinking. No offence to anyone, but just installing after market parts to the chassis doesn't really make it a "project". However, it's a very nice chassis with all those GPM.

There aren't any TRD stickers on the body though, its TRP (an after market company).

Non taken! It's a project allright! Very DIY! Just see the happening in the future :)
As for the stickers... is already a sticker project :) cuted and glued to my taste

acerpower 12-02-2010 08:03 PM

Since "the Jang" came out with his little video rant about "project" cars everyone has to criticize people for calling there car a project.
Honestly who cares if he uses the word "project" in the thread title.
No one cared what people called there cars before.

This truck is very nice and it's a "project" to him.
It's obvious English is his second language and I think his wording is fine considering. So why nit-pick about his title.
I don't mean to argue or offend anyone, just stating my $0.02

Besides he did stack his mosfets so that means he modified the stock PCB,
not everyone has the soldering skills to do that, so technically you could call it a "project".
