Micro T in snow ?
can a micto T be driven in the snow with getting damage to electronics?
Thanks Michael |
Not without somehow waterproofing the PCB and servo.
I don't think the Micro-T would get through the snow very well anyways. Good luck. |
hmm by 'Waterproofing do you mean just wrapping it up ? in something waterproof or does it need to be done properlt with like Shrinkwrap or something? :P
yeah i know but by tomorrow im hoping that it will be more icy and harder snow :D unless it snows the 8inches were predicted :/ Thanks Michael :) |
I wouldn't trust it in shrinkwrap.
I personally would coat the entire PCB in liquid tape. If your running Li-Po, you might want to put the pack in a balloon or something. |
With a micro-t you'll probably be spinning out alot on ice -esp b/c they're light upfront; and ya you would have to water proof it. How much snow did you get, i heard its crazy in the UK right now!
|
well doesnt look like i can take it out:/ we have 11Inches i measured this morning :D bit deep and its really soft so it will just sink.
Thanks Michael |
maybe try fooling around on the ice, but you'd have to go in reverse the whole time LOL
|
LOL i will give it a go tomorrow then ;D and post a video up if i can but my phone camera sucks :(
|
I tried driving my micro-dt in the snow/ice and it was absolutely useless. My friend had a Radline that actually faired pretty well. I think the new AWD losi might be able to do it.

well i wrapped it up and it works but icant drive it straight . does that count?
