January '10-'11 Build Off: 1999 Mercury Cougar
Well, I don't know if you guys have noticed or not, but I haven't been around as often as I used to. Xmod projects have pretty much come to a stand-still. Why is that you ask? Well, UTI is incredibly tiring, AND, Ive been working my butt off for this baby (Yes Tex, I stayed American):

Plans: I haven't quite decided on what I'm doing with the car just yet. There are a few minor problems that need to be addressed. I'm planning on dropping it about 1.5 inches, getting bronze 5 or 6 spoked rims, and getting a better paint job. In terms of performance, I'm not sure where I'm going. I'm probably going to keep it stock for the time being, since I need reliability and economy more than speed right now, lol. |
good luck with your project...and welcome back...customcougar.com

Wow, that engine looks mighty like mine in a 93' Mazda MX6.
Will take a look later. V6 Roar! Have fun with it. |

I was planning on doing a little work on this baby today after work, but noooo, it decided to rain all night. Bah! |
Good thing this car is not silver. I have lots of animosity for silver Cougars. Has to do with a teenage girl on a cell phone trying to hit me. It was not pretty. If it was legal to PIT someone into a ditch, I would've done it in a heart beat.
:) I drove a friend's automatic Cougar once, not a bad car really. Interior was typical Ford, but it was plucky. |

Automatics, *sticks out tongue*, the deciding factor with this car was that is was a standard, lol. It was either this or a '96 Subaru Legacy GT. They were both the same price, but the Cougar had less miles, one owner and of course, that awesome MTX-75 Transmission. |
