68 Charger 'Meat Grinder'
 

Some photos of a recent project. It started as a 1:25 scale Revell white 68 Dodge Charger. Even after trimming the body down 1/2" or so (you can see the discreet cuts at the door and roof) I had to add a spacer to a long chassy. After a flat black base coat, I decided to make it into something reminiscent of the cult classic Death Race 2000, adding the aluminum spikes and window cage, and bloody wheel wells as a final touch. Still needs some work, but here she is.

note to self, never go head to head with that thing... isnt that illegal in 49 states and 27 countrys lol

Thanks for the compliments, my next project is much more mundane ;) Working on a 97 Viper GTO at the moment, when I find the time.

Very original. Nice work. We should have "death machine" themed COTM comp.

Sounds fun to me, but my demented mind can come up with far more....enthusiastic...machines designed for death on wheels ;) Plus I love competition.

Meat Grinder Redux
 

So I took some time off from my hovercar project while I wait on some parts. With the extra time on my hands, I decided to go back to an earlier project I was never quite happy with.

The 'cage' on the windshield never really looked right in my opinion, so I completely redid it from aluminum, cut a viewing slot and made some bullet hits, imagined a severed head bouncing over the hood and splatting on the window, and there ya go.

I also wanted to add more blood to the hood, and make it look like someone wrote the name of the vehicle in the gore. Maybe 'wash me' would have been more appropriate ;)

good job...this is definitely a FUN build...reminds me of the ORIGINAL deathrace movie and its themed cars...i think your additions are great and fit your theme/style/motif perfectly...i bet you dont drive this thing aroung barefoot, eh?

Edit: Maybe I can get BnR34 to race me with his new Drag racing truck ;) I may lose the race, but his truck will be well ventilated when I am done!
