Video Editing

Does anyone here do video editing?
Any kind.

Here's something I did (not on my YouTube account, thats my friend. The description says The Foodly did it. I'm the Foodly... :))

Anyway, check it out.
In HD.

The image part was made completely on Photoshop using several high quality images, into a 1280x720 image.
The video was only 320x240 to begin with, so I wanted to do something.
YouTube downsized it a bit, but its still sweet.
The video was added in with Adobe Premiere Pro.

i prefer IMovie.. its awesome software.. and so is final cut pro.. they are awesomeness..

I like the idea, but I just think it draws too much away from the comedy of the video. Nice work, though. Keep 'em coming!

Cheers,
Kyle.

Yeah, it draws away from the video, but the video was VERY low quality (it was filmed with Sony mylo which has a 1.3MP camera.
I am getting an HD cam soon, so I'll do better then. Haha.

What camcorder are you looking at?

imnotmikal 05-07-2009 04:44 PM

Since I have no money, my parents agreed to get me one.
And for their own benefit, I chose a quite cheap one.

Sony Webbie - About $200.
Film in 480p, 720p, and 1080p.

To that degree, no, I don't see a point since my career won't involve this stuff, but I DO like Vegas 8 Pro and all of its feats.

My mom said I can get the Webbie and pay them back, then its mine.
Or, we can get a nice one for the family, and I don't pay any.

I chose this.

It seems very nice, I played with one in Best Buy and it was great quality.

I'm getting package deal thats $730, comes with the camera, a carrying case, an extra battery, and an 8GB memory stick.

iMovie and WMM are noobs.

Sony Vegas, for the win. Can pull some sweet tricks:

iMovie and WMM can't be considered video editing...

I have Vegas 8 Pro, but don't use it.
It's on my old laptop.
Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and Adobe After Effects CS3 ftw....

Ps, Texan, you can do that with pretty much any editor than can do masking.
Just saying.
:P

Surprised I never posted this...

This was just a tiny little project I did in a few minutes.
It was a ***** to line up the music correctly.
I'll eventually expand on this clip, its just something I'm working on in my free time.

I could do that with power point back from 1998. I think they have more in mind then slide shows of stills.

I'm editing a school video on my friend's Mac with iMovie, I'll post it up when I'm done.
