Video: RC18MT "Tricks"

Another video by Donziikid Photography. Please enjoy and be sure to catch all the "tricks."

Some high-speed runs are done first and then the tricks are more towards the end.

Thanks! That video was shot at 10/60 gearing with a 9200kV motor. I'm hoping I can pick up a Robinson Racing 20T pinion and a 55T spur for some real top end speed.

just wants to make me go out and buy one!

clintr79 10-31-2008 05:05 PM

kendallcschm 10-31-2008 06:17 PM

meme405 10-31-2008 07:55 PM

That car is really fast...

BulletsRain 10-31-2008 08:13 PM

That car IS REALLY FAST, which makes it REALLY AWESOME!!!
Some neat tricks there too. Did anyone here the fighter jet go by during the video? Lol, it was just the car!

Do it, you won't regret it. The only upgrades on this are an aftermarket AM radio, aluminum knuckles, aluminum shocks, aluminum towers and the Mamba-25 brushless system. It's still the stock 1100mAh battery, stock differentials, stock tires, stock bearings and stock chassis. Honestly, even without those aluminum pieces, it's a bullet-proof beast.

Thanks. I'm surprised you don't gear a little higher; that 5700kV won't heat up nearly as quickly as my 9200kV and it barely gets warm anyway.

Hmm, I guess not very much of the video I shot on the tripod made it into the video.. Most of it was too high in the first place; I like the low, down to earth levels.

I live very close to Selfridge Air National Guard. Sometimes in my videos you will hear an F16 or something similar fly by; sometimes they even buzz (below 1,000ft) the neighborhoods. Loud as hell..

clintr79 10-31-2008 09:27 PM

I have bigger pinion gears on there way.I use a 8.4v battery and a 9.6v battery

Stampedekid 11-07-2008 11:47 PM

Tricks yeah umm..not feeling it lol jk. Nice job Donzii but that just isn't tricks to my standard. What battery are you running in that beast? The only prob I have with BL(in the Micro DT) is that you could be going full on the throttle and a wind could be where you are driving into, my Micro DT gets blown over(does a wheelie and ends up on its lid.)

I'm running the stock 1100mAh 7.2V NiMH. Want to go to Li-Po someday..

badass_savage 11-08-2008 12:35 AM

lipo is a must with a brushless system. There just sooooooo expensive.

SPR 11-08-2008 04:34 AM

HOLLY ****! have you clocked that thing at all? I think its faster than my nitros!! that thing looks like it woulda gave my old touring car a run for its money, and it topped out at 70+ mph! freaking insaine, thats one bad *** electric.

I run a elite 1500mah 7cell it works good i also put a 17t pinion gear to give it a little more top speed in mine now it does not wheelie as bad as it used to.

guitarboy911 11-29-2008 08:54 AM

wow your running the stock battery.

how long does the charge last?

Every video of my RC18MT is with the stock NiMH battery. Adding a LiPo would almost be suicidal.

I'd say it tops out at around 35mph, maybe closer to 40mph; it passes cars that go 25-30mph on my street with ease. I'm planning on getting a Venom speed checker with my next purchase from TowerHobbies, so I'll let you know how fast it truely goes when I know. :)

Yupp, stock battery.

 Depends on how I wanna drive.

Full boar, beat the livin' snot out of it and keep on truckin' at full speed: 10-15 minutes when charged at 2.0amps; 15-17 minutes when charged at 1.5amps. But, there are some days when I do take it easy (believe it or not) and I can get upwards of 25 minutes when charged at 2.0amps and upwards of 30 minutes when charged at 1.5amps.
