Add a Parts Box to your XMOD Case
Ok, Maybe a little wierd but I like to have parts and car in one place.
Here is a Quick mod I did to the XMOD case to cary parts with me. Parts needed: 1: Velcro Tape 2: Some type of Organizer box First you need Velcro Tape ( it is a Wonderful thing. ) http://www.xmodsource.com/gallery/files/3171-tape.jpg Second a Organizer case http://www.xmodsource.com/gallery/fi...parts-case.jpg Put the Hook side of the tape on the top of the XMOD case http://www.xmodsource.com/gallery/fi...-XMOD-case.jpg Put the Loop side of the tape on the bottom of the parts case lined up to the tape on the XMOD case (easy way is to put the velcro together to line up. pull the paper off and then put the parts case onto the tape. http://www.xmodsource.com/gallery/fi...e1.-bottom.jpg Then after you smooth out and make the tape stick better you can hold it up and admirer your work http://www.xmodsource.com/gallery/files/3171-both.jpg I also cut out the foam where the chassis use to sit in the XMOD case to hold the tool kit I got from RS http://www.xmodsource.com/gallery/fi...nside-tool.jpg Hope this works. Didnt want to load up the server. |
Not weird at all...parts and car all in the same place is always a good thing. I like that idea, it's simple and easy. Good job!

i like it i did this a while back and it is really convienent the only reason i dont use it anymore is because since i got the xmod case bag i can no longer use the tool box on the outside
|
sincei put all cars inside one case,i just got a small tackle box works likea charm;)
|
Tackle boxes are perfect. They have all sorts of slots, and you can get really small plastic ones, too.

Going to wait a little before I go and spend on a box. Want to see if I am going to get into this more. then I will shell out for a mice box. Besides, I had the parts box. (I use them alot) And I hope some people can use the Idea. Going to have to get a larger box soon. Since Radio Shack is clearencing stuff out. |
Tackle boxes are what Ive been using to keep parts for anything for a while!! I used them to keep some lego's, I used them to keep ALL xmods stuff (theyre well organized), and I also use them to keep bait tackles....

Nice (and simple) tutorial. Also cheap, since Velcro doesn't cost too much. Congrats, it looks like its been stickied!

I would never have thought this needed a tutorial, but now that you mention it, it's a good idea. :)
Good tut. If you could include your pictures in the text instead of linking them, that would be all the better. |
nice job. Perfect idea if you don't want to buy the xmod bag!!!
