How to: working supercharger

this is just a short walkthrough on how to make a working supercharger for any xmod.

first off you need a few things.
1. a model supercharger and blower-
you can find this in alot of model cars in any hobby shop
2. you need zipzap motor and a single wheel & tire
3. wires- i used wire from an old car and a motor, that had quick disconnect plastic clip.
4. some type of glue and tape

first

put the model supercharger and blower together, making sure that that the bottom of the supercharger is hollow

second

you need to take a motor from the zipzap and attach a wheel and rim to it by glueing the center of the rim to the gear of the motor this will be the supercharger pulley and belt

Third

solder up the wires to the motor, making the opposite end long enough to reach the screws that give power to the chassis motor

Fourth

take the zipzap motor that you have made the pulley out of, and glue the whole motor into the bottom of the model motor you have put together.

Finally

cut a hole in the hood for the motor to go through tape the motor to the underside of the hood adding glue and wait for it to set then test drive, as you rev the motor on the chassis, the zipzap motor will crank over giving a good look and a pretty good sound (note i have done a few of theses and a cheap trick is to just use tape on the bottom so the zipzap motor will torque the model motor when it REVS)

Nice tut and idea. Only thing I can think of to perfect this would be to reduce the voltage that goes to the zip-zap motor to make it sound less irritating with resistors or something similar.

its a good idea, lol but most people like me dont have zipzap motors sitting around

I thought superchargers were supposed to be loud and irritating.
