May '09: "LowRider" COTM Entry Thread:

Please remember to read all of the following rules before entering, voting and replying to COTM threads. All rules will be strictly enforced by all Xmodsource Staff members and anything not pertaining to the rules will be removed, voided or disqualified.
All offenses have the possibility of infraction points.

Quote:

Rules for Entering the May COTM:
Your Entry:
1. Your entry must be a fully functioning Xmods RC car owned by yourself. You may not enter for friends and you may not enter anything you have previously sold or plan on selling within the month the COTM is running.
2. Your entry must be submitted in the Entry Thread by May 31, 2009. Any submissions made after that time are not allowed within the competitions. Procrastination is not encouraged; make your submission when it is completed.
3. This months theme is Low-rider. All submissions must pass the following Low-rider requirements:
1. Your body or chassis must be lower than that of a stock Xmod. It may be a car, truck or SUV.
2. Your body must be classified by the forum public as a low-rider. As always, majority rules and the Staff has final decision on what is or what is not a low-rider.
3. The body must be custom in someway; whether it is paint, extensions or a whole model conversion. It cannot just be a stock Xmod body lowered.
4. As always, you are limited to one entry per member. Pick your best.
Your Submission Post:
1. Your submission post must have the following:
1. A minimum of four pictures is required. A maximum of seven pictures is allowed. We please ask that all pictures are of your entry only and clearly show what you are trying to enter. Please remember that all voting is done by and judged by PICTURE. Show crappy pictures and you’ll get crappy voting results. Try your hardest to make clear and easy to view pictures.
1a. One of those four to seven pictures MUST be a picture of your fully functioning chassis. This chassis picture must be that of your entry and must show a fully functioning chassis. If essential pieces, like an ESC, servo housing, motor, etc. are not easily viewed within the picture, it will be classified as non-functional and disqualified.
2. Your submission post must include a list of ALL upgrades on your submission. This helps show what your chassis, body and you have been through to make such a creation. A proper and easy to read list is required.
2. Your submission post must be made before Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 9:00PM EST SHARP. Any late submissions will not be allowed within the competition. No exceptions.

Participation Rules:
1. You must be a member of Xmodsource.com since April 1, 2009 to enter.
2. All of the above rules must be followed.
3. You must have fun.

Rules for Voting in the May COTM:
1. You must be a member of Xmodsource.com since March 31, 2009. Anyone who has joined Xmodsource after that date is not eligible to vote. This requirement is in place to help prevent cheating.
2. Any members caught cheating during the COTM will have their vote removed in the final tally. What classifies cheating:
1. Making a false alias to vote for yourself.
2. Voting for yourself with your own account.
3. Joining after the required date (March 31, 2009).
4. Discriminating other members and their entries.

Staff’s Notes: Please remember that this is a forum privilege, not a forum requirement. If you are incapable of playing nicely and fairly, your Car of the Month rights will be revoked for an unknown amount of time; if not infinitely. Your rights include: the ability to enter, the ability to vote and the ability to view the Competition section of the forum. By being rude and inconsiderate of other’s entries, voting choices and feelings, you are harming them and their chances of winning, as well as their opinion about you and this forum. This is highly frowned upon and will NOT be tolerated under any circumstances.

Good luck!

Cheers,
Kyle and the Xmodsource Staff.

I'm not so sure about how much this constitutes as a lowrider, but nevertheless better throw something into the mix...

1958 Chevrolet Impala

All the chassis components are either stock or RS upgrades, as you can see in the picture, it has been completely slaughtered and reassembled in a strange fashion, lol. Yes, the motor cradle is on backwards, half the batteries make up the rear seat, and the circuit board is mounted on the bottom of the chassis. However, rest assured that it is completely functional.

Everything else, the pictures can talk for.
