B1G's Vintage 1993 Team Losi XX
Hi,
So in a trade I just picked up this vintage (circa 1993) Team Losi XX 2WD off road buggy: http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._3408152_n.jpg I had it apart earlier today for a good clean, so I snapped a few photos as I put it back together and installed the 2.4GHz system: http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._6449986_n.jpghttp://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._1176250_n.jpghttp://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._5482432_n.jpghttp://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._6502155_n.jpghttp://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...7_274144_n.jpghttp://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._1026470_n.jpghttp://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._4437604_n.jpghttp://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...4_599963_n.jpghttp://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._7844994_n.jpg As you can see from the dirt that is still visible, the cleanup operation is work in progress :) I'm going to do what I can to restore it to mint vintage condition, with the obvious exception of a few choice upgrades such as the 2.4GHz RX, the new Streak ESC and the Green Machine II motor with the 27T Robinson Racing pinion gear :) so to start with I will be replacing the front bulkhead as the screw holes have been stripped and if I can ever find one I'll be replacing the front bumper / skid plate. Enjoy! |
Nice cars do they work good

Installed a genuine replacement Losi part earlier today, old one was destroyed!! I'll let you guess which part it is: http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...x/148e3fa9.jpg Shouldn't take you too long :) Was a PITA to replace, front end has to be completed disassembled.... |
Bulkhead! I recognize that goofy natural plastic :P Glad to see you got it replaced, hope it's bringing you all the fun it brought me.
