Pics of New '09 Dodge Challenger Xmods

Hey guys! Just thought I would share these pics for those of you who are waiting to get one or still deciding on it:)
Concidering that this is only the second 2nd Xmod i've bought after the GT-R came out, it's really not a bad one to add to your collection especailly if you are into muscle/mopa cars!:) This one is build as a full shell, the front grill is a sticker, only rear bumper is removable, the mirrors are rubber, and the rims don't have that fake disc brake on it! Apart from that, it does need abit of a drop and it has a few minor lil blemishes which are hard to motice unless you are into details like myself-:bigwink: .

Ok, enought typing, more pics:

The orange is too... light/bright.
But still looks hot!

Now, I want to see it with slammed rims...

c1v1c 09-14-2009 05:40 PM

I'm more glad to still see you around than looking at the challenger!
But still a pretty cool body!

Hope you'll stick around :D

GearHeadV8 09-14-2009 05:48 PM

it looks cool but there is just something that throws it off for me

Donziikid 09-14-2009 05:54 PM

This one is screaming! for you to paint it, Xmodification. ;)

xmod noob 09-14-2009 06:06 PM

looks like it needs really big rear tyres those ones are too skinny other than look good just cant wait to get mine now thanks for the pics

meme405 09-14-2009 06:26 PM

Wow that is a terrible colour... Its so off from the real Burnt Orange colour on the 1:1 version...

KITT222 09-14-2009 06:34 PM

Paint it gunmetal grey and it will look mean! The orange does look a little bland/flat. How does it look with lights?

Camera flash up close does that.. I'd wager it's a bit better in the sun light.

Streetr101 09-14-2009 07:18 PM

I'm glad theres no disc brakes build into the wheels, I would paint them and the srt body, and lower the body it. I would paint it the true orange hemi, and do it justice.

4G63punk 09-14-2009 08:40 PM

Is this the only addition to the line lately?

It's not that bright but it's not the original color either so it's up to us to repaint this one ourselves:D
Slammed rims pics coming up:nod:

Might be that it's sitting so high:uhoh: . It needs a drop badly:nod:

Yeah, it can handle the slammed truck rims with car tires pretty easily:) It's not a bad addition imo:D

Thanks guys! I took some outside pics to show the true color, it's not as bright as the 1st pics:)

I would love to see it in it's true color:nod: , hopefully someone can get on that soon when they get theirs:bigwink:

Umm, from what I know there's the GT-R, 67 Black Mustang, the Audi R8, the 09 Mustang, the 370Z, and now this one - the 09 Challenger;)

Thanks guys! It sure does need abit of added touches in the details dept. but it's not that bad overall:) The grill can be replaced with mesh or some other type of custom piece:), the body can use a drop indeed, and about the color - it's not all that bright imo. The rims are ok since it can show off the chrome disk brakes cover easily or alloy upgrades aswell:)

Here's a couple outside pics without flash and also with the slammed truck rims fitted with Evo car tires:

http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/P9140043.jpg

The slammed rims gave it a DUB'ed out look and it fits pretty well but only with car tires fitted over it, the truck slammed tires are too big.

I might have it paint a different color but for now i'll leave it as is until I get another one:halo:

monsterhunter 09-14-2009 09:14 PM

ah its not that bad over all but i think that bodys sitting really high up. drop it down alittle bit aand itll be one heck of a shell. and cant wait to see what kinda paint scheme you could think up for this one!

KITT222 09-14-2009 09:42 PM

Wow... This is definetely going on my list. That is one awsome looking car!

garder121 09-14-2009 09:51 PM

whoa sexy car alert! looks even better with the slammed rims the only thing that makes me mad with the new xmods is that there are no body kits. they are basically leaving all the work up to modders which is good and bad, and they are even getting lazy with the new models, i mean come on a sticker (imho thats a downgrade from them) /END RANT
back on topic i can't wait to see this baby lowered.

texan_idiot25 09-14-2009 10:04 PM

Besides the color, the car looks very good. Proportions in check and everything! Just needs to be a tad lower, but sweet.

taiwanesekid05 09-14-2009 10:25 PM

The only objection I have is that the lights look a tad funny since you can entirely see through them. Otherwise, its S.O.W. ;)

spitfire 09-14-2009 11:09 PM

Is that grill a sticker?

trans_am_lover_79 09-14-2009 11:10 PM

I agree with just about every one.. There are some things that need done, but overall I like. It will be a couple months but I will have one.

DRFTKO 09-15-2009 12:10 AM

Since the wheels do not have the disc brakes molded into them, did the kit at least include the disc brake knuckle covers? Congrats on being one of the first to get a Challenger!:)

Try reading, he mentioned in his first post its a sticker...

I still think that colour is way to glossy and light. Needs to be darker and more saturated...

Nonetheless its a very nice base to build something nutty off of...

Skv012a 09-15-2009 09:59 AM

Outta all new models I think this is the 2nd best one. Refresh me guys, can we order these throught RSUnlimited or not yet?

XMDrifter 09-15-2009 07:10 PM

i actually think radioshack has gone nutty with pumping out so many different models. now, does anybody know the street chassis RSU SKU numbers so i can get some street parts to replace those dumb, fragile evo parts?

all these new models and yet, no stupid Radio Shack after-market X-mods parts....that sad...

KITT222 09-16-2009 05:55 PM

Based off their current trand I'd that the next car might either be a Hyundai Genesis Coupe or maybe even a G8/Commodore. And just remember, you all wanted new Xmods, they gave you new Xmods.

I don't think i'd go as far to say the proportions are in check... I could be wrong, who knows smaller wheels and a drop might fix it, but comparing the proportions to my 1/24 kit, I think RS missed it on the length of the body. Challengers are really big cars in person, this challenger Xmod should be bigger than the 05' and 10' Mustangs (wheel base wise i expect it to be like what... 102mm?). I think thats why radio shack missed (they didn't wanna extend past 98mm, which i'm gonna be more upset if the chassis isn't 98mm), I'm expecting this big but not too wide xmod to show up (they're definitely bigger than the 2010 Camaro's), but this side shot saddens me, its like... one of those cartoons where the car gets pancaked into a wall.

EDIT:
Just double checked the wheelbase to scale, the challenger should be atleast 102mm, its real wheel base on 28th scale is 105mm, thats just shy of like a MiniZ Minivan wheel base.

lol nice sky. i bet with your painting skills, kazes body work this could look sick lol

im hoping XMOD paints it up nice to cause his work his amazing to

rcxmoddagger 09-19-2009 02:11 PM

it looks too fake and unrealy, like, i love it, dont get me wrong, but the rear end and front end look like a toy from little tikes, lol, and the wheels are too plain, it looks fake, but im sure someone can change that, i need to see a modified one first, but thats my opinion.

Scale is wrong, but proportions are fine. Not as bad as the past cars from the evo series. The vette is an example

rcxmoddagger 09-20-2009 02:32 PM

it doesnt look that bad, i think that the truck looks too small and the hood is not long enough, not enough details on the bumper

Stampedekid 09-20-2009 02:48 PM

I think it looks nice but the color is way too off the real color. Nice though, may have to consider it, or atleast just for the body to do some work on

kendallcschm 09-20-2009 03:49 PM

hey that looks pretty good... how big is that challenger??? is it as big as a truck xmod??

deckerz 09-24-2009 04:41 AM

they should have picked a different colour like the silver challenger.
me and my bro both mistaked this for bumblebee at first.
