He is pretty big, not the biggest I've seen around here, but pretty big. I don't want to go measure it....it might try to kill me. Maybe half an xmod length?
It sure can kill flies fast! Killed 2 while I was taking those pictures.

I have never had a lot of interest in shooting people. However lately I have found it quite fun

I really like the sky in this shot, plus the perspective makes my buddy look like a giant.

I wish the crop was a little different on the first image. If it weren't for the random person in the right side, the chopped head on top and the loss of feet for the little girl, it'd be an amazing picture due to the composition using the pumkins. It still is a stunning portrait, though. Colors are very vibrant for a fall day.

Now, the second image, did you use a polarizer on that? Michigan skies are never that deep of a blue. At least not where I travel.

Two very nice shots, Jimmy. :)

No polarizer, if i had one I would have used it. I will be getting one as soon as I get my new lens. Hurry up Santa. The only filter I have on my kit lens it a UV filter, mainly to protect the lens in case I bump it.

As far as the first shot goes I see your point. In my defence (excuses, excuses) the D50s view finder unfortunately does not frame the whole shot that's why the person on the right is in there. That's one flaw the D50 has, but after all its a dinosaur camera, built in 2005:lol:. But it does get the job done.

I think you'll love a polarizer. If you ever take pictures of the Fall colors (you should see em' north of Bay City, amazing color depth already..) the polarizer will really make the sky and the colors POP.

Not a full frame viewfinder? Dang, that stinks.. There's always Photoshop, eh?

Uncle Johns off of I69 north of Lansing? Went there last year; probably some of the best cider I've ever had.

Two from the D100 this weekend. Got to try out the D2X with polarizer and 70-200 this weekend.. can't wait to see those pictures on a full screen..

Its very minimal difference, realy only noticeable if your paying attention to it. To be honest I wouldn't have even noticed if I had not read about it on nikonians first then in my manual. I'm also hoping for a D200 or D300 in the next few years.

Nope. That's my 1:1 Donzi classis '18. Sits low in the water, eh? Probably about six to eight inches from the water to that chrome piece around the glass. Most boats sit about two to three feet out of the water.

This is what she looks like out of the water.

BulletsRain 10-06-2008 10:44 PM

Yea looks very low profile. You had me thinking it was an RC the way those pictures were, but then again that would be hard to take a picture like that unless you were riding on it....guess it's just your amazing picture taking abilities playing tricks with my eyes. ;)

First time shooting the Autum colors with the D2X and 70-200. Please share your thoughts; critical comments welcomed. :)

BulletsRain 10-07-2008 10:13 PM

The leaf is awesome! Its like some one is holding a dim light behind it!! Those pictures are great for desktop wallpaper!!! I would say I'm speechless, but then I couldn't say how great of pictures they are!!! :D ;)

BulletsRain 10-17-2008 06:03 PM

Sorry for double posting, but I took some pictures a week ago and forgot to load them up. I took them after dinner, the sky looked cool I thought. There not great pictures, but I just like taking pictures. :D
