I don't actually use CAD to do any programming and I'm not sure I have a small enough tool to do split 6 spoke. And TE-37's kind of have a bulge to them which I can't do. The closest I can do right now is the 6 spoke I already made.

Thanks, they are urethane rubber boggers.

Enough chit-chat....UPDATE........

I DID IT, I DID IT, I FINALLY F-ING DID IT!!!!!!!

I beat the **** d hole. I asked for some help with the d hole and found out that it was done with a 1/16" tool so I found a 1/16" tool and did some measuring and figuring and VOILA!!!!! A full functioning custom machined rim with working d hole. I was getting a little frustrated but I'm happy now.

bnR34 11-05-2009 12:09 PM

XMDrifter 11-05-2009 05:44 PM

hmmm... well, if you can somehow find out how to do those TE-37's i'd be thrilled to see them.

and nice! the d-shaft looks perfect

FloydfanYodaman 11-05-2009 06:14 PM

Bulldog25413 11-06-2009 11:20 AM

how did you make the D holes? I been wanting to make my own rims as i keep finding things that i would like to try and make them out of but the only thing holding me back is the D hole

Thanks, it's been fun to do. Production will be strictly custom order and although I do have some black material, the closest I can come to gun metal is a light gray.

I made the d-hole with a 1/16" router bit. I programmed it on a CNC machine. I think your best way to 'make wheels' is to look for one of the tuts here on using xmods wheels as the center and gluing the center into a different (model) wheel, or use some rim adapters. Making your own wheels is going to be hard because they need to be round and the hole needs to be on center. Good luck though.

Well I wasn't happy with the spokes on the 7 spoke wheel, they weren't smooth enough. So I asked my guy to re-do the program, and here's what I have now. I think they look much better without the nub on the spokes. Plus, notice the spokes are directional, left and right wheels.

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods321.jpg

With the new smaller tool I have for the d-hole I should be able to make more designs but we're really busy at work for the next couple weeks so I might not get much done. Stay tuned though for updates.

Q & C welcome.

XMDrifter 11-08-2009 04:19 PM

i see some BBS mesh style wheels in the future. the wheels look fantastic

Please review the rules about B/S/T.

I'll definitely look into that.

And now for a little something new. These are +4 offset. A bit wide for regular XMODS but great for custom bodies. And really awesome for fitting bigger, wider tires to trucks.

This is a regular GPM alloy wheel.

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods324.jpg

Not much room.

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods326.jpg

+4 offset deep dish.

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods328.jpg

Wider stance.

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods325.jpg

Lots of clearance.

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods327.jpg

And plenty of room for wider tires.

Q & C always welcome.

TripleXmodder(akaXXX) 11-20-2009 12:46 AM

Great work...The Truck rims made for the swampers are nice.

xmodkidd33 11-20-2009 06:58 AM

When you say +4, is that +4 mm?

Thanks, feel free to pm me any specific questions you might have. As far as painting, I have read that it is possible with the right preparation.

UM...nothing spoiled as nothing hidden. Corian comes in ??100 colours?? and I can use whatever scraps are leftover of whatever colour we use. But do you really want seafoam green wheels, some of the colours of Corian are really nice for countertops, but I wouldn't want wheels that colour. And yes I do have a small amount of black. As above, feel free to pm me any specific questions.

Thanks. I have had some boggers for I don't know how long and I can finally use them properly.

Yes. Mini-z wheels are available in different offsets and this is the not the case with xmods wheels. So I am trying to use mini-z offsets as the basis for my offsets. +4 means they stick out 4mm farther than 0 (stock).

xmodcanuck 12-05-2009 02:21 PM

Work finally calmed down a little so I've been working on a few more things lately. I hope you all like them. Enjoy.

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods331.jpg

A drift package - tire and wheel all in one.

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods332.jpg
http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods333.jpg

Truck rims - I did this while waiting for my guy in programming to come up with my new stuff. They look kind of rugged and truck-like.

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods334.jpg
http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods335.jpg

Slammed rims. (I guess I forgot to clean this one up.) These are actually black but the machining of the material causes it to get cloudy. A sanded and buffed product would be shiny and black.

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods336.jpg
http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods337.jpg

Super low-profile drift wheels.

http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods338.jpg
http://i474.photobucket.com/albums/r...k/xmods339.jpg

More slammed rims. 0 in the front and +2 in the rear.

Q & C are always welcome here, but for any specific questions please pm me. Thanks.

lol 12-05-2009 04:28 PM

I see your starting to sell them *COUGH* XMFMMXMDFF

mr.hotrod 12-06-2009 07:45 PM

Uh i think momo's secret was that she needed black wheels for a "secret project"
